Official Newsletter of The Patrick Henry Caucus; August 13, 2009
Dear Friend of State’s Rights,
Thank you for your devoted interest in The Patrick Henry Caucus and our mission, and for spreading this important message of state sovereignty to your friends, neighbors and family members. We sincerely appreciate those of you who have taken the time to contact your legislators and inform them of our fight for state’s rights.
CAUCUS UPDATE
We are grateful for your continued patience as we develop this caucus. We are in the process of designing an intricate website to better suit the needs of our growing caucus. When fully operational, the website will have a secure forum area where legislators can discuss ideas in real time with other legislators around the country. It will also have a forum and be a one stop resource for citizens to find information and updates on legislation that is being worked on in their state, along with contact information for their legislators.
MEMBER ACTION ALERT
You have no doubt seen the tragic situation involving certain Chrysler dealers around the country. In Utah we have had dealers who owned their business for over 70 years, just to have their dealership taken and given to someone else. It is absolute theft of property. The Patrick Henry Caucus is working overtime to find a solution. We are close to having a state rights bill that will help these dealers protect themselves of this violation of their rights. Until then, Congress is working on a couple bills that would end the madness without state intervention. PLEASE visit this website to find more:
www.hometownautodealers.org, then call your senator and ask them to co-sponsor the auto dealer protection bills!
HELP THE CAUCUS GROW
We are truly like a start-up company, albeit without paid workers. In order to build the website that is needed to benefit our cause, pay for legal and other start-up expenses, and to spread our message across the United States, we are in need of financial donations. We have been able to hold fundraisers in Utah, and many of you have helped through online donations. With our volunteer staff, we have been able to put every single penny towards building the caucus, yet, we stand in great need.
Starting a national organization of this magnitude requires a significant financial sacrifice. If you are willing to help organize a fundraiser in your area, we will send caucus founders, including Representative Carl Wimmer who has been featured three times on The Glenn Beck show, to your state to speak to your state rights supporters. You can request more information about fundraising directly from Representative Wimmer at
carlwimmer@thepatrickhenrycaucus.org.
Right now, if you can spare $10, $25, or any other amount to help us in our fight for individual freedom and state’s rights, please do so. If this cause is important to you,
Visit our website and donate today!
LEGISLATOR ACTION
Citizens are crying out for leadership to unite and act to preserve individual freedoms. We believe this is best done at the state level.
The time has come to actively engage federal government and reassert rights that were never intended for the federal government to have. Our goals include a coordinated effort in passing legislation, some of which is intended to be challenged in the courts. By working together states will be able to share litigation costs and give a united front to the validity of our claims. The ultimate goal is to have a major court victory, swinging the political pendulum back to its proper place.
It is imperative to unite legislators from across the nation who support the cause of reasserting state sovereignty. Soon our website will allow a secure log in for both citizens and legislators, but as of the moment our website is unable to differentiate. If you are a legislator we ask you to email us with your title, name, contact information, district etc…. Please send email to:
thepatrickhenrycaucus@thepatrickhenrycaucus.org.

MESSAGE FROM A PHC LEGISLATOR
Hello friends,
It was a short time ago when The Patrick Henry Caucus was simply an idea. This "idea" has sprouted larger than any of us had ever imagined. We are in almost every state in the nation, and are slowly getting organized. There are so many organizations out there right now fighting for state’s rights, and we think that is great! We are ever grateful for the "awakening" that seems to have taken place around the country. How is The Patrick Henry Caucus different from other organizations? We are the only citizen/legislative state rights coalition in the country. I view us as the legislative branch of the 9/12 and the tea party movements as well as all the other state rights movements out there. While maintaining our autonomy, We work hand in hand with the other groups, to hear citizen’s concerns, and then the "legislative branch" of The Patrick Henry Caucus goes to work implementing the needed changes. It truly is Representative government at its best!
The coming weeks and months hold tremendous opportunity. I will update you all when the new website is launched!
I am often asked, "What if you fail?" I always answer, "We can’t fail. The cost of failure is too high, it’s our freedom."
Yours in liberty,
Rep. Carl Wimmer
Herriman, UT
